Current Grant Deadline 30th November, 2016

The new Arts Network Sutton executive committee will be temporarily halting our grants program, following the current applications deadline.  This will give us the time necessary to investigate additional and alternative funding options and decide how best we can serve the membership moving forward.  More information will be given early in the new year.

Award winning puppetry about an unlikely friendship.
Duck Death and the Tulip is an award winning performance for every small child and their grownup friends. Adapted for the stage from the acclaimed book by German illustrator Wolf Erlbruch, it tells the story of a heart-warming and whimsical friendship between a playful duck and a character called Death.

Duck and Death meet, drink tea together, go swimming in the pond, climb a tree, and keep each other warm. Duck asks lots of questions. Duck learns that Death is a constant companion, a part of life.

Through mime, magic and puppets, the production deals with the difficult subject of death in a deceptively simple way that engages children and adults alike.

“I had a smile on my face throughout,

even when there was a lump in my throat

as well”
