Current Grant Deadline 30th November, 2016

The new Arts Network Sutton executive committee will be temporarily halting our grants program, following the current applications deadline.  This will give us the time necessary to investigate additional and alternative funding options and decide how best we can serve the membership moving forward.  More information will be given early in the new year.

The Musicians

By Patrick Marber

Performed by SAVVY Theatre’s Young Company.

The orchestra of Ridley Road, a state school, is to give a concert in Moscow at the European Festival of Youth, playing Tchaikovsky's Fourth Symphony before an audience of cultural bigwigs. But their instruments have been impounded by Customs. Luckily, Alex, the Russian boy who cleans the hall, is a devout ‘Pinball Wizard’ fan who comes up with a plan that saves everyone.

Eclipse

By Simon Armitage

Performed by students from Riddlesdown Collegiate.

Six friends are interviewed by the police after the disappearance of Lucy Lime, a strange unnerving girl - 'I am a walking Universe, I am' - whom they met beneath the cliffs on a Cornish beach, just before the total eclipse of the sun.

Directions to The Arc Theatre:

By Car: Go into the school entrance gate and veer down the right-hand driveway. Drive around behind the buildings, the playing fields will be on your right and the Arc Theatre building will be ahead on the right (on the edge of the fields).

By Public Transport: Purley train station is accessible via East Croydon. From there take the 412 bus from Purley High Street (STOP M) to Riddlesdown Road. It is then about a 10 minute walk to the venue.
